OBJECTIVES:Since history is the collective memory of society, we can gain insights about our present world by studying the past. This course seeks to acquaint the student with the development of Ancient Greece. Upon satisfactory completion of this course the student should be able to:
1. gain an overview of the history of Ancient Greece from earliest times to the Hellenistic period.
2. understand how Ancient Greece influenced western society.
3. associate geographical locations with historical significance
4. develop skills in analytical reading and writing
