Course Objectives

Since history is the collective memory of society, we can gain insights about our present world by studying the past. This course seeks to acquaint the student with the development of the early church.  Greater understanding of the history of the church will help students be more effective in Christian service. Upon a satisfactorycompletion of course the student should be able to:

1.  gain an overview of the history of the Church from its inception to the present.

2.  understand the development of Christianity and how it relates to the church today.

3.  associate geographical locations with historical significance

4.  develop skills in analytical reading and writing
