Attendance:Your attendance is required and any absence will be duly noted. If you miss this course nine times FOR ANY REASON you will receive an E for the course.
As a student in this class it is your responsibility to attend class. The only excused absences are those which are required for your involvement in college sponsored extra-curricular activities. These absences will be excused if I am notified in writing from the Academic Affairs Office.
Remember:
1. 3 tardies = 1 absence. Class will begin promptly, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late you will receive 2 tardies, and arriving more than 15 minutes late you will counted as absent for the day.
2. Students are expected to remain in their seats until dismissed. Leaving class early counts as a tardy. Leaving class with 10 minutes remaining will be counted as 2 tardies. Leaving class with more than 15 minutes remaining will result in the student being counted absent for the day.
3. 9 Absences for any reason (including absences due to college-sponsored activities) = An E for the course.
These guidelines are set forth to make it clear that your attendance is important and your decisions have consequences.
